…Besides a wide painting experience in Umbria, Lucania, Puglia… Ruga lived in Albissola in the Fifties, where surrounded by an enthusiastic and energic international artistic entourage, he developed materic experimentations in ceramic… after his figure cycle he starts a progressive research on abstract, developing in the Sixties into intense chromatic dissolution of his subjects… in the Seventies his polimateric characters… Then, Ruga focused his poetry on fragments of nature, space and landscapes… In the Ninties he lives in Langhe, Piemonte, where he realizes the dream of all his life…
